National Night Out
Where Community and Safety Thrive Together
Lights on, MetroWest! One night a year, neighborhoods across America turn their porch lights on and step outside together. This October, MetroWest joins them.
MetroWest Communities will be hosting National Night Out in partnership with our Public Safety/Service Team on Tuesday, October 6th, 2026, from 5:30-8:30 PM, located at MetroCenter, 2101 Park Center Drive, Orlando, FL 32835.
Presented by the MetroWest Master Association and Public Safety, this year’s event will feature crime prevention and safety demonstrations alongside Orlando police and fire. Lock Tight Shredding will also be on-site, offering FREE DOCUMENT SHREDDING from 5:00 to 7:00 PM, a longtime favorite. Bring your old files and papers straight to the shredding truck. Admission is free!
What’s National Night Out?
It’s America’s Night Out Against Crime! National Night Out is an annual community-building campaign that helps increase Neighborhood Watch participation by promoting the work that police, fire, residents and businesses do together to make Orlando neighborhoods safer and better places to live. It’s celebrated by more than 38 million neighbors across 16,000 communities nationwide, enhancing the relationship between neighbors and law enforcement while bringing back a true sense of connection.
National Night Out is designed to:
- Heighten crime and drug prevention awareness
- Generate support for, and participation in, local anti-crime programs
- Strengthen neighborhood spirit and police-community partnerships
- Show neighborhood organization and unity against fighting crime
